Multiple people were killed in a shooting at TOPS Supermarket in Buffalo, New York.

Local officials and witnesses say a guy opened fire at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, while live-streaming on Twitch, killing multiple people and injured others. He also published an online manifesto describing himself as a white nationalist.

Officers were dispatched to Tops Markets at 1275 Jefferson Avenue early Saturday afternoon for an active shooter situation. When they arrived, they discovered victims on the ground outside the supermarket and more inside.

At least 9 people have been shot, according to initial reports, including several persons who have been shot in the head. Outside the store, two victims were found dead on the ground, and at least one person was rushed to a local hospital.

The culprit was apprehended, according to Buffalo Police. A man in military fatigues is seen being hauled into custody in a video uploaded on Facebook. He appeared to be in possession of a semi-automatic gun.

The attack was live-streamed on Twitch, and pictures from the video showed graphic sights, including a woman being shot in the head. Victims can be seen on the store floor in other screenshots.

The shooter’s purpose for Saturday’s attack was explained in a 106-page online manifesto thought to have been released by him. He portrays himself as an 18-year-old white nationalist and anti-semite in the document.

“If there’s one takeaway from these essays, it should be that White birth rates must alter.” “Every day, the White population decreases,” the document states. “In order to maintain a population, humans must achieve replacement fertility levels, which in the Western world is roughly 2.06 births per woman.”
